Can a powerline adapter be moved without issues?

Hello,
Everything is said in the title, I would like to know if I can move a powerline adapter from time to time, without having any issues with the network or anything else.
I have a laptop in my room that doesn't have a battery, so it's difficult to move it (some will recognize themselves ;).
I have a pair of powerline adapters connected from the family computer to the Freebox, and a connectivity of Freeplugs between the box and the mini TV box, but we don't deal with those. My dad refuses to let me install a second pair of powerline adapters to maintain better bandwidth on the first Ethernet network, and he wants me to stay on Wi-Fi.
So to get a better connection, I move the powerline adapter from the family computer when my dad is not using the computer or is at work, and I connect the Ethernet cable to my computer.
Everything works very well, but I don't want there to be any long-term issues.

Hi,
no, no worries at the outset, it's always better than having multiple powerline networks that interfere with each other.
Besides, you should only have one powerline modem connected to the ADSL box.

and ... There you go!

That's true, 2 powerline adapters is too much.

The additional powerline adapters must be compatible with Freebox.

Olivier, you should test it by removing the powerline adapter behind the box and see if the PC still works. If so, you could use this powerline adapter for your PC.

Absolutely, it is possible to retrieve one of the modems connected to the box to link it to the PC, as long as both networks are paired together and the 4 modems are on the same PLC network.
Of course, as you rightly mentioned, the additional ones must be compatible with the freeplugs, which will likely be the case unless they are freeplug 85.

Hello,

Yes, you can move a powerline adapter.

If you wanted to have powerline communication, you would need only one other adapter compatible with Freebox, because powerline communication uses the electrical network, so there can only be one network.

Regards
