PES 2017/Steam : Impossible d'initialiser SteamAPI

Hello,

I received my PES 2017 on PC, and I was excited to install it and explore it. So far, so good.

The next day, I want to play: impossible to launch the game. When I click on PLAY in the Steam game library, the game doesn't start, and an error message appears, which is as follows: Error : Unable to initiliaze SteamAPI.

Naturally, before posting here, I Googled the problem. To be thorough and precise, and to save you time in your responses that I hope you can provide, I have done the following:
  • I have exited Steam several times and then restarted it. Nothing works, still the same issue.
  • I exited Steam and right-clicked to restart it as Administrator. Still nothing, it doesn’t work.
  • I uninstalled the game to reinstall it. Same problem persists.


I remember that this isn't the first issue with Steam for PES, and it’s starting to get frustrating :s So I turn to you, kind souls of the Net :)

    Hi,

    Has your problem been solved by now? If not, where did the game come from (key, CD,...)?
    It might also be an issue with your PC.

    I don't know, I wondered about the PC too. In any case, I ended up trying everything, and failing to get results, I got a full refund for the game. And no more Konami for me, but I'm not sure FIFA will run on my machine, it's more demanding. I gave up with the hassle of downloading the demo :/ Tired of wasting time with games.

      You're right, FIFA is very demanding; if your PC doesn't meet the minimum requirements, give up.

      Do you have a link to take the FIFA 17 demo? Just to see if it can run. According to the required specifications, it's good; I'm just worried about my processor and the graphics card, which are of medium level :/

      What is your setup? For the demo, all you need to do is install Origin and then you just have to download the demo.

    The game came from a CD that I bought on Amazon. I actually recommend buying on Amazon because in case of any issues, like here, they always do what’s necessary to refund. I have never had any problems of that sort with them.
