Computer restarts instead of shutting down

Solved

Hello,

I am currently on a HP ProBook 4740s running Windows 10.
When I turn it off, it seems like it doesn't finish the shutdown process, it goes black and restarts by itself (it actually starts normally, not as if I turned it off with the button).
I've done a chkdsk and an sfc /scannow, I've also changed the RAM to see if that helps, but nothing works, the problem is still there.

Does anyone have a lead?

Thanks in advance
Configuration: Windows 10/ Firefox 47.0 (HP Probook 4740s)

    Hello

Right-click on Shut down in Start>Properties>Power button action.

    Best regards,

The problem remained the same, but I was able to resolve it by disabling fast startup.

I only had to go to the power button properties, show the unavailable options, and disable fast startup.

Thank you anyway for the guidance.
