Hello,
I bought a Takara MID107B tablet which runs on Android 4.4.2. Configuration testing utilities tell me that it's not possible to install versions 5 or 6, fair enough.
However, I would like to upgrade to 4.4.4, and the tablet's native update software consistently returns an unknown error.
Can we (and if so, how?) force the update manually?
Thank you, DedenK.

Hello!
Just wanted to say that I advise against using version 4.4.4 if and only if:
- the tablet is not rooted
- you have applications on the SD card
- you have an SD card in your tablet that you are performing write operations on.
Version 4.4.4 simply blocks write access to the SD card, and the only way to bypass this is to have a root-level application (so the tablet must be rooted) to fix the issue.
Also, the benefit you will gain from upgrading from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 is not really significant, at least for your usage ;-)
That's all from me.
Have a great day!
Luc
P.S. = I did a quick search online to find a link to change the ROM of your tablet... found nothing.
