I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!!
1. Go to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204048
2. Go about halfway down that page and select which computer you have. For me it was MacBook Pro.
3. Click on the link that identifies your computer and a grid will open that shows the various Mac models and operating systems. The grid will identify which version of Bootcamp your computer requires.
4. Click on that version link from within the grid and it takes you to the appropriate download page.
5. Download the bootcamp onto a FAT32 formatted flashdrive, then expand all the files.
6. Open the main folder, then the drivers folder and find the correct driver for your sound and reinstall. For me, it was the Cirrus folder. There was a 32-bit and a 64-bit. I reinstalled the 64-bit and then tested my sound and it works!!!
I'm not really a computer guy, but I just kept trying various options and this is the one that worked for me. Hopefully, it will work for you! I think the above listed steps are accurate, but they might be just a touch off or something. I don't want to duplicate the entire sequence for fear of messing something else up.
Good luck!
