Laptop to PS4 via HDMI

Hello,

Living in shared accommodation (without a TV, moving often...) makes spending 300€ on a PS4 (plus games at 70 bucks...) a bit impractical. I'd like to know if there’s a way to connect my PS4 via HDMI to a laptop without going through a TV?

My computer is a MSI GP60 2PE Leopard gaming PC, 8GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive, Intel Core i7, CPU 2.60GHz, W8.1 Pro... It has both HDMI input and output. However, the resolution shows that once the console is connected via HDMI, it doesn’t appear...

Any ideas on how to make this possible?

Best regards

    Hello,

No, it's a video output for your mobile, so you can't use it as a monitor.

Yes, it's not a question of adaptation; it's that the graphics card can extend its display but isn't receiving it.

To put it simply, if you connect to the HDMI, you won't be directly linked to the screen but to the graphics card that is connected to the screen.
