How to connect two laptops together?

Hello,
I'm explaining my problem to you, I have 2 laptops (1 Vista and the other Windows 7), the Vista one has a broken screen! How can I see the "screen" of the Vista on the screen of the Windows 7?
I have a VGA cable to connect the two, but I'm stuck on the operations afterwards...
Can someone tell me how to do it?

Hello, The VGA ports on your laptops are not video inputs but outputs This means you can send an image to a TV or a projector but not to another computer!

You can't connect one phone to another, but you can connect your broken-screen phone to a TV with a VGA input or a PC monitor with a VGA...

That said, it still needs to display the image on the external monitor, and if it doesn't happen automatically, I don't see how you're going to configure your PC without seeing anything ^^
