Hello,
I just installed a giant receiver. I can't pick up any channels; the signal is at 83 but the quality is 0.
I don't understand anything, if someone could help me, thank you

Configuration: iPhone / Chrome 50.0.2661.89

During the pointing, if the signal level bar graph is active but the % quality does not change, it means either the satellite dish is misaligned or the parameters (frequency, Pol, SR, or even FEC) of the transponder in the DVB-S2 terminal are incorrect.

(Same if using an external pointer for antenna adjustment)

Okay, but how do I know where to point it? And how to know if the parameters are good or not? Best regards.

To begin with, we need to know which satellite is being searched for: Astra, Hot-Bird Eutelsat 5WA, Nilesat, Badr? etc... and define an active transponder or an active channel (if possible, in clear) on one of the satellites...?

For example, the correct parameters via HotBird 13°E (= Arte HD in clear) on a DVB-S2 receiver or on a pointer, it doesn’t matter:

If now searching for the Eutelsat 5WA 5°W satellite (formerly Atlantic-Bird 3) using "France 2 HD" in clear, the prior Fransat configuration is as follows:

(here Samsung TV integrated satellite tuner)

Another example is Astra 19°E, channel I-télé in clear (from the TNTsat or Canalsat package):

In summary, ensure that the useful parameters are correctly stored in the decoder and correspond to those used on the satellite, knowing that some modulation data has been modified since April 2016 with the transition to all MPEG-4.

Hello, thank you for your explanations. I'm looking for the Hot Bird satellite. In fact, it's a receiver that comes from Tunisia.
