Hello,

I have a Strong 7417 decoder (TNTSat) with a Strong Sa61 flat antenna. After pointing it at Astra 19.2, I get 98% signal strength and 90% quality but no channels found. Once, I managed to get channels with a quality of 48%, but I can't do it anymore.
Any idea?

Configuration: Windows 8 / Firefox 30.0

Common error in pre-orientation of flat antenna (or dish) aiming at a nearby satellite, Eutelsat 5 (Fransat), 3, 7, 9, 16, or Hot-Bird, or Astra 2 or 3... using identical parameters (Frequency, Pol, FEC, SR). Beware of an internal bargraph (or external beeping pointer) that gives a relatively high quality indication, but without image...

Beforehand, select on the Canal Ready demodulator a clear channel, such as No. 14 LCP, or 15 BFM TV, or 16 I-Tele, or 17 D17 for adjusting the azimuth and elevation angles.

Do not forget the phase that involves adjusting the polarization angle by tilting the antenna housing +/- on the side, using only the % quality as a guide.

If the aforementioned channels are watchable but not the encrypted ones, like TF1, France 2 etc., which present a black screen..., this indicates a decryption problem, card issues, being upside down or improperly inserted or invalid, consider renewal. Finally, be aware that on Astra there is no HD1 nor 6 TER (it's complete only via Fransat 5°W)

After several attempts because my Strong decoder indicated a signal strength of 95 and a quality between 0 and 9, I raised my 1.5-meter satellite dish and miracle, both signals were green and at 97.
It was the pins that were causing interference.
But alas, impossible to find the channels despite hours of various manipulations and resets to factory conditions.
Suddenly, out of despair and after one last attempt, I set the menu to English in the language selection and then continued the process, and again, miracle, the desired channels appeared and everything works... after several hours of searching.
Strange.. strange.
