Hello,
I want to do geometry exercises with my daughter.
Is there a way to create, for example, a rectangle with dimensions in centimeters on the computer and ensure that these measurements are preserved when printed?
More specifically, how can I create a rectangle that is 6 cm long and 3 cm wide so that these measurements are accurate when I print my file?

Hello SAUNOUVIET,
If you already know how to insert a rectangle in your Word document,
the explanation is simpler: right-click on the rectangle and
choose the option “Format Shape…”.
In the window that opens, select the “Size” tab.
In the Height box, enter 3 cm or 3cm (with or without space)
In the Width box, enter 6 cm or 6cm (same)
Optional: you can play with the rotation box:
45 will rotate the rectangle 45° to the right
-45: the same to the left (but if you check again
the box where you entered -45, you will see that it has been
converted to positive degrees to the right: 360-45 = 315.
Confirm: click the OK button or press < Enter >
With the default printing (A4 sheet size, 100%), the sizes
of the text, images, or shapes will be the same.
