I am based in Montreal and I bought a Slingbox Solo here, which I sent to France.
My father connected a TNT decoder to it, it works but I have remote control issues, the decoder is from br...co de..t and it's a Eurosat Performer, I can't find the code or the clone code that could operate it.

However, I have a question, is there a built-in TNT decoder in your Slingbox PAL?
If so, do you think if I exchange my Solo for a Pro in Montreal, I will have the built-in decoder?

I will be going to the United States soon and I am very interested in the SlingBox.
My parents have a Freebox at home, so I can connect it to a Slingbox.

I would like to know which model of Slingbox you have, apparently the Solo and Pro models are available. The difference is that the Pro model includes what is equivalent to a French TNT tuner. It seems to me that the Pro model is not necessary if we just want to connect the Freebox.

In your message, you mentioned that you could watch a different program remotely (via the internet) than the program that the person with the Slingbox connected to the Freebox is watching, thanks to multi-screen viewing.
But Free's multi-screen only works when watching TV via the internet (with VLC, for example), meaning that only one person benefits from the Freebox decoder for TV, and others can watch it via the internet on their computer connected to the Freebox. So I don't quite understand your setup; indeed, from my interpretation, you in Canada have access to all the channels from the Freebox while the person in Paris is watching TV online through the multi-screen. So this person in Paris cannot watch TV on a "real television". And in this case, you should have access to TF1 and M6 since you are controlling the Freebox bouquet remotely...
That seems to me to be the only solution since the SlingBox can only connect to one decoder (in this case, the Freebox box), so what you see from Canada is indeed the Freebox bouquet with TF1 and M6, and it is the person in Paris who is watching TV from the multi-screen, without TF1 or M6.

Additionally, does your virtual remote allow you to access all functionalities (program guide, recordings, ...)?

I would be very grateful if you could clarify this for me...

FrenchyTV is dead! The only service worth it is Eurostream, and it's from Montreal!
I've been subscribed for 6 months and it gives access to the best channels directly on the TV with a set-top box, or on a PC, or even on an iPad.
You can watch live or catch up on shows that have aired on demand.
Plus, with Eurostream there's no need to wait 24 hours like with M6 Replay; the show is available live or for replay right after it finishes.

1) Apparently, the Slingbox only works with Wi-Fi for the iPhone, so no Slingbox when we are on a 3G network, which is the case for many people?

It's the only one I found with TF1, M6, France Télévision, and Canal+. HubbTV doesn't have them!

In the bouquet, there is neither TF1 nor M6 :(

1/ If they connect the Slingbox to the TV modem, will I be able to watch TV here in Montreal??
2/ Can I get more explanation because I don't understand how it works and through which network I can access French channels?

2/ the Slingbox connects to the Internet network and streams. It sends the video retrieved from the TV decoder over the internet, and you can access this video from anywhere in the world. For this, when the Slingbox connects to the internet, an account must be created with Slingbox. This account contains the information needed to locate the SlingBox on the global Internet network. So when you want to watch the video, either your PC uses software (Slingplayer desktop, freeware) to connect to the account and then display the video that the SlingBox sends, or you use the browser version: you open Internet Explorer and go to the Slingbox website. There, you log into your account and the video appears in Internet Explorer (or Mozilla). The Slingbox includes an infrared command generator that simulates the remote control of the TV decoder and allows you to change the channel...
