Touchpad problem on Acer

Hello,
I migrated to Windows 10 as soon as I bought this Acer E3-112. Until now I used a mouse, so I didn’t have any issues. Now, I want to use the touchpad but it works very poorly: it either stops abruptly, or it becomes uncontrollable because the mouse moves in all directions, appears and disappears, or the left-click function disappears.
For everything to return to normal, I have to disable and then re-enable the touchpad using the Fn+F7 shortcut. But that is only a temporary fix and I have to repeat the operation regularly...
In the Task Manager, only "PS/2 Compatible Mouse" appears in the "Mice and other pointing devices" tab.
What can I do? I have already tried updating the drivers, but it’s impossible to tell whether my touchpad is Elantech or Synaptics, and even if I install one of them, absolutely nothing changes...
Would it be possible to get some information to fix this problem please?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards

Hello,
Click on the magnifying glass in the taskbar at the bottom left of the screen, type mouse in the search and then confirm by clicking on Change your mouse settings.
At the bottom of the screen, click on Additional mouse options, what do you see displayed in the menu bar, Buttons, Pointers, etc....., could you note this in your next reply, please?
Regards.
