Hello, I need help. I have a Brother DCP J315 printer and I can no longer print letters in black. I’ve tried everything: using glossy paper, photo paper, a new cartridge, and unclogging it with a toothpick. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Hello, I own a Brother MFC 6910dw and I had the same issue.
A technician advised me to replace it because it was irreparable; I hesitated about the solution of using alcohol with a syringe, which freaked me out.
So I took a very thin and flexible steel wire, the kind that women use to make necklaces :) I inserted it into the nozzle and slid it inside the tube; at one point it got stuck because the ink had dried inside the tube (the tube between the nozzle and the print head),
By gently forcing the wire, it went through, then I ran the black head cleaning 3 or 4 times and everything was back to normal.
Knowing that there are probably still dried ink residues in this tube, I don't know how long it will work, but in any case, I didn't have to buy a new printer or risk damaging it with any product.
I hope this little tip will help others.
