Hello
following the switch to HD, my recorder player is no longer working. Before the switch on April 5, it did not accept HD channels
if I connect it to a decoder, will I be able to record for free?
Thank you for your response

    Hello,
1-Most current HD TNT receivers have a "PVR" = Personal Video Recorder (in French = Magnétoscope Numérique), they record on external hard drives in HD, they can of course be programmed in advance, convenient, no more tapes or DVDs to handle and you can record one channel while watching another on the TV if it's HD, otherwise, a dual tuner TNT receiver (CGV étimo 2T for example),
You can still use your DVD recorder in playback
It will be much better than adding this HD receiver to your current recorder which will record via the SCART a HD signal degraded to SD, plus you'll have to program both devices.
2-But it's possible as long as the HD TNT receiver has a SCART socket, and the recorder is switched to it.
    Connections:
Antenna input on the HD TNT receiver, then return to the TV with a coaxial cable (receiver output -> TV antenna input).
Solution 1: HD TNT receiver in HDMI to the TV.
DVD recorder in HDMI if possible, otherwise SCART.
Solution 2: For the antenna, as mentioned above.
The SCART output of the HD TNT receiver to the SCART input of the recorder which will need to be switched to this input.
It may be necessary to configure the TNT receiver as they output in SCART or HDMI but not both.

      Thank you
So I should better buy a recording player (mine could record on DVD, USB stick, and it had a hard drive). What should I buy to get the equivalent?
      Thank you

    Hello,

I have the same one and it works very well, what are your devices? Personally, I have a Sony FULL HD - C+ decoder (so satellite) and a Samsung SH 895 DVD recorder - Connections: Television HDMI cable 1 to C+ decoder and HDMI cable 2 to SH 895 OUT - Also a SCART cable AV2 recorder to C+ decoder VCR That's it. Have a nice end of the day.

      Hello,

This morning I called Samsung, and the person confirmed to me that the SH 895 was not compatible, even though others are no longer functioning and mine is working very well. A rather curious response from my Samsung contact: it won't work anymore by the end of the week. This morning, I noticed something strange when I was watching a show; my screen went off for a fraction of a second while my other devices were on, and it turned itself back on with the message Source... I didn't have time to read the rest. I'm wondering, do they have the power to make a device malfunction remotely? It was working well on the 5th, and today the 6th, and it would be out of order on the 8th. Strange, strange!
