Connecting DVD to LED TV without scart

The SCART-RCA adapter connects the SCART to the VCR and the three RCA cables to the TV. These adapters generally work in one direction or the other. You change the direction with a slider button located on the SCART.
In one direction, you can record on the VCR the signal displayed on the TV screen coming from the TV tuner (useful if the VCR does not have an HD tuner, which is the case 99% of the time) and you want to record a program on the VCR (on VHS tape, on DVD, or on the HDD possibly present on this VCR)
In the other direction, you can play the old tapes from the VCR on the TV by selecting AV1 as the source on the Samsung TV or another. In any case, as soon as you start playing a tape, the TV automatically switches to AV1 if the direction of the SCART is correct. So there are only two possibilities to test.
Note: I purchased the last two existing TOSHIBA of this type on the internet from an Italian company after negotiating the price down from €900 to €400! This way my wife can watch her old tapes for the rest of her life even if one of our three Toshiba VCRs breaks down because I doubt they can be repaired.
The problem with gardais is that it seems from the photo that he bought an adapter that doesn't work in both directions (there's no reverse switch visible) and he got the wrong direction!!!
On my Samsung, the RCA connectors are from top to bottom 1 yellow, 2 green, 3 red, 4 white, 5 red. My three RCA cables are 1 yellow, 4 white, 5 red to connect to colors 1, 4, and 5 on the Samsung and not the red to 3!
