Nvidia nForce Network Card Issue

Good evening,
For the past 2 days, I haven’t been able to connect to the internet on my HP Pavilion a6421.fr (this computer isn’t very young) either via cable or Wi-Fi.
I haven’t changed anything, but now I’m losing hope as I can’t find a solution.
I’ve installed several drivers downloaded from the HP website, but the one for the card won’t install and I get an error message.
Help!!!! Please.

Go to Start
In the search bar
Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.

Do you have any alerts?
What do you have under network adapters?

So when I want to connect it, I get a window saying that the network card's connection to the local network is not configured to use the IP protocol.

In the network card, I have several items; it would be simpler with a photo, but I can't attach them.
So there are
Avast firewall NDIS filter miniport
NVIDIA nForce #2 network controller
NVIDIA nForce #2 controller - avast firewall NDIS filter port
Extended WAN (IPv6) miniport - avast firewall...
WAN (IP) miniport - avast firewall...

Go to Control Panel
Network and Internet
Network and Sharing Center
Manage Network Connections
Right-click on --> Local Area Connection
Properties
Right-click on --> Avast firewall NDIS filter miniport
Uninstall it
Restart the PC.

Do the same with the wireless card.

Can you provide the identification numbers of your network card in your device manager, please?
0
Pinkalie Posted messages 25 Status Member

Yes, but in what form is this number, because when I right-click on the network card and then properties, I see nothing

On the other hand, there are 4 lines; should I give you all 4 or is the first one enough?

I managed to open it but it won't install; it tells me that my operating system is not Windows, even though I'm going crazy.

Otherwise, a system restore?
0
Pinkalie Posted messages 25 Status Member

Yes, last hope if your last link doesn't work. I can't restore to a previous point because the oldest point dates back to March 31, while the bug has been happening since the 28th.

Try Driver Pack but I think your Windows is tired.
Have you done a cleanup?
0
Pinkalie Posted messages 25 Status Member

Well, it doesn't work.
I think it's because of the updates that it's not working anymore.
I'm going to restore it, never mind, I'll back up my files and reset it.
In any case, thanks again for your help and your time.

ok. Sorry for not helping you more.
What updates have you made? For Vista?
0
Pinkalie Posted messages 25 Status Member

Thank you for trying. In fact, they happened on their own; they are Windows updates. Right now, I'm trying to uninstall them and see if that changes anything.

Hello,

Try this driver --> nForce

If the problem persists:
Go to Start
All Programs
Accessories
Right-click on --> Command Prompt
Choose --> Run as administrator and confirm
Type these 2 commands and enter each
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset

Restart the PC.

Hello, I tried your driver, it installed correctly but it doesn't work.
I'll try your workaround and then we'll see.

So I did the manipulation and it says that the requested operation requires elevation
