Turntable crackling

Hello,

I recently received a turntable (Dual DTJ 301 USB) so that I can digitize my vinyl records.

The problem is that there is a crackling sound, and the more the arm moves towards the center, the more the crackling can be heard.

I have already tried moving the speakers away, but it hasn't helped. The turntable is plugged into a power strip, and I unplugged all the other devices, but the result is still the same.

The crackling only starts when the needle touches the vinyl.

It's frustrating because I would like to put my vinyl records on CD, but this crackling ruins the music.

If anyone can help me, please.

You may need to ground the mass of your platter or check your cable runs too close to a power transformer.
