I copied Excel files that I can no longer open because the extension is .shs. Is there a solution to open these files?

    Hello

A polite greeting is always welcome such as Hello, thank you, etc...

Be careful with files with the ".shs" extension which is a hidden file type. Be cautious when opening them, as they are executable and have been known to contain viruses.

    Best regards

Computing is just a tool, like a paintbrush or a pencil.
Avoid these so-called free repair software, they are of no major use. The best companions are Dos and Powershell..

Hello Beber, I checked the file with the antivirus, it didn't detect any anomalies. My problem is that I can't open it. What I found is a conversion file Pc converter but I don't know this product.
      Thank you for your responses

Where did you copy your file from or to? And which version of Office are you using?
Make sure you are up to date with your Office system, and to my knowledge, there were many bugs in versions 95 or 97!
You should have a copy of your original file; when you opened it, in what format did you save it?

The file is a partial copy of a work schedule in Excel transferred to a USB drive; it should have been in .XLS format and not SHS. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the original file.

        Thank you
        Best regards
