Hello,
I want to open the latest backup file of an Excel file I was working on yesterday and that I forgot to save properly last night (what a blunder).
I found where it is stored (C:\Documents and Settings\cptast\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel) but the extension is .xlb and when I try to open it, nothing happens.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Hi,
the .xlb file format is not an Excel sheet backup, but a customization file for Excel toolbars.
In conclusion, if you haven't saved your changes, they're lost...

Hello,
maybe by using file open and selecting the file type *.xl* it will work
