Engel RS 3310 Satellite Decoder
Solved
Hello
I have an Engel RS 3310 satellite decoder and I went to the website www.engelaxil.com, but I couldn't find a way to ask them the following question: Is it possible
to update the decoder's software to receive HD TNT?
With all my thanks for any suggestions
Best regards

Hello,
Unfortunately, it's not possible; you will need to buy a TNT SAT HD decoder (starting at €100 in supermarkets right now).
Another solution, if you can redirect your satellite dish to Eutelsat 5° West, would be to switch to "Fransat," which is of better quality than TNT SAT, which is not even approved by the CSA.
Additionally, the card is "lifetime" and provided with the terminal, whereas it is paid for and needs to be renewed every four years with TNT SAT.
You will also receive, in addition to the 25 channels of TNT, TV5 Monde, Kto, and regional channels, the option to subscribe to paid channels, Bein Sport, télé mélodie, and the Bis TV bouquet. See here:

Another advantage is that if your TV is equipped with a satellite tuner and a PCMCIA CI+ Fransat compliant interface, you can do without a decoder => no more cables, better quality, and just one remote control. However, Canal refuses this interesting solution by not marketing a module + card; they require an external terminal certified by Canal.
