Hello,
For the past few days, when I open Google Chrome, a grey page appears and I'm unable to search for anything on the internet, or even access the settings or the version.
As a result, I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, but without success despite several attempts.
I hope you can assist me.
Thank you for your replies

Hello

Try another search engine to see if you have the same problem.
Best regards

Computing is just a tool, like a brush or a pencil.
Avoid those so-called free repair software etc. They have no major utility. The best companions are Dos and Powershell..

I am on Windows 10 so I tried with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge but they work without any issues.

Re
So uninstall your Chrome and download the version here >> https://www.google.fr/chrome/
and after uninstallation, restart your PC and reinstall it properly afterwards
And if it still doesn't work, check that your system is up to date as well as Flash Player and your additional applications for the browser.

Hi,

Have you tried a clean uninstallation, using Revo for example?
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/19405-revo-uninstaller/

Once open, double-click on Chrome. Select advanced mode. Let it search, then select all folders, files, keys ... Delete everything.

Hello

If you post a message every day, we should reach the end of the month.
Is it an antivirus with a firewall and a license, or is McAfee free??

Hello.

Try (I really mean try) to set Google as default

Start menu > Settings
System > Left column, Default apps
Web browser > click on it > Choose Google Chrome

If it fails >>> additionally >>> set defaults by app, check Google Chrome. OK

This procedure (not normal, I know) is intended to see if Google opens.

This is just a suggestion . . . Bye

Hi,

first, save your favorites by exporting them as an HTML file, for example, in the bookmark manager in Chrome. Uninstall Chrome again from the list of programs and features in the control panel. Then, make sure you have the option to show hidden folders and files enabled. Go to c:\users\"'username'"\appdata
In this appdata folder, there are 3 folders; in each of them, if there is a Google folder, delete it by pressing lowercase + delete key. Restart your computer and reinstall Chrome; it should work.

See you later
