Transfer messages to iMessage

Good evening everyone,

I have always communicated via iMessage with a friend, but today I had to talk to him through regular messages because I didn’t have 3G/4G. However, when I managed to reconnect to a Wi-Fi network and wanted to talk to this person again via iMessage, I couldn't change back... If someone could help me, I'm new to Apple! Thank you in advance.

    Have you checked in the settings??

    Settings/Message/iMessage

    and activated iMessage

      Yes, I have disabled / reactivated it several times, I turned off the iPhone, etc...
