Hello,
I’m trying to connect my PC to my old CRT TV to watch movies comfortably from bed. I’ve seen USB/SCART cables on Google. But reading some forums, I see testimonies saying USB is for digital while SCART is for analog (I know nothing).
So my question is: is there a specific cable model that fits my search or are they all standard?
Thanks
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 44.0

Hello,
I don’t know what a USB/Peritel cable could be used for (I’ve never seen one).
You can only use one video output, which is not a USB port. Depending on the age of your PC, you either have a VGA output (trapezoidal shape) or an HDMI port (recent, high definition). Neither of them allows direct output to Peritel.
Some PCs had an S-video output, to be connected to a TV input of the same type or via a Peritel/S-video cable.
There may be VGA-to-Peritel conversion boxes, but as this standard is disappearing from TVs, I don’t think you can still find them.
You can find on www.goyona.com a number of adapter boxes (between 50 and 300 euros) but I haven’t seen any in Peritel.

Ok thanks, so that's it, the data that comes out via USB cannot be transmitted back to SCART.
I have an HDMI port on my PC, so I’ll look for an HDMI/SCART cable (hoping it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg).
Moreover, will my old CRT TV be able to “support” the video stream sent by an HDMI port? (sorry if the question seems stupid but I really don’t know anything about this) .
