No Sagemcom DS81 HD decoder channels

Question

Hello, I bought a Sagemcom DS81 HD decoder for receiving channels in HD. However, I get to the channel search menu which offers me individual mode or frequency search with no other options, and when I start individual mode it says search completed with 0 channels and suggests switching to frequency search, but it gets stuck there without the progress bar moving, and after 5 minutes my remote stops responding, I don't know what to do...

Hello,

this Sagem DS81-HD is designed for TNTSAT... it is a satellite receiver intended to receive TNT programs retransmitted by CanaSAT on the ASTRA satellite positioned at 19.2 degrees East

So you need to have a satellite dish oriented towards this satellite, at 19.2° East.

This decoder must also have the updated decryption card inserted in the correct direction.

I'm going to repeat the same things to you

-- Antenna pointed exactly at 19.2° and not just approximately

-- Valid card

-- You should have a menu on the screen with the reception bar graph... in level and in quality... The quality must be above 50%... 70%

-- If your receiver is working and your satellite dish is well oriented, you should at least be receiving unencrypted channels like "France 24" for example.

If you orient your dish without a device, randomly or with a compass, you have a 99 out of 100 chance of not succeeding... you need an appropriate measuring device at a minimum, like the SF-500 from HD-Line.

My building receives TNT via satellite, my television dates back to 2004 but works very well, a high-quality Sharp model, but it is older than 2009. I have made the connections but with the SCART socket (no connection to plug in the HDMI cable)
Like SupperJacky, I am stuck on a frozen screen, no channel found, no signal in the search

Everything that has been mentioned on TV about HD is only for those who receive via the aerial... Satellite is different... and we don't know which satellite you're referring to..??

-- I think HD doesn't go through the SCART connector..?

-- If you're on Satellite, you must have a decoder... and what you receive is paid or free...??
