Hello!
I have read and reread the very relevant responses on this subject.
However, since I am not at all trained in many things on my computer, I want to be sure of what I'm doing!
Here is what my computer is: Mac OSX 10.5.8 Processor 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 1 GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
Do I need to buy a specific new version 10.6, and if so, which one, or does it not matter?
Thank you very much for your kind response, as this is becoming urgent.
Best regards.

For the speed of your response and your good advice.
Indeed, Talleyrand was right, I am already in trouble, so I need to act quickly!
So I will take action, hoping to succeed, and I will give you the good result as soon as it's done. Thanks again.

Well, here is the information you requested if I understood correctly:
      Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
System Version: Mac OSX 10.5.8 (9L31a)
      Kernel Version: Darwin 9.8.0
      Boot Volume: Macintosh HD
      Normal Boot Mode.

So according to you, based on this information, can I buy the Snow Leopard version? But how can I tell which version of 10.6 it will be for the order? Does it need to be 10.6.8?
      Thank you again!

This information is not sufficient, I provided a link to learn how to provide all the information, you need to follow the advice and copy the information here! For example, the exact model of the Mac and its configuration.
      So, in the meantime...

Note: the disk sold by Apple is version 10.6.3 but, after installation, you update it to 10.6.8.
The links provided, in blue in my previous message, are there to guide you, a click on them is enough to learn a lot of good things ;-)
