Sticky Notes on the Desktop (Mac)

Hello,
I would like to know how to install a "sticky note" on my desktop or just something to occasionally write notes. I would like them to be very visible on my desk. Does Mac provide functions like this or do I need to download an app from the App Store?

    Hello,

    I don't know if this utility is still in your OS, but check in your Applications folder to see if you find "Sticky Notes"; it's a post-it.
