Mobile phone amplifier
Hello everyone,
once is not customary, it's me who is asking questions :-)
I'm in an area of Paris where the GSM signal is really bad, no matter the operator (yes, yes, we are in 2007 and Paris's coverage is not 100% as advertised).
Do you know if there are signal boosters that plug into the socket, which work in France? I understood that there are in Canada at least:
https://branchez-vous.com
Otherwise, I've seen these kinds of circuit boards to put inside the mobile phone to amplify the signal, but I have doubts about their effectiveness and concerns for health:

Hello,
As a low-current specialist, I guarantee you that any solutions using stickers or otherwise do not work.
There is indeed NO way for the general public to amplify a signal. However, there are ways to repeat the GSM signal.
Quite expensive, it involves receiving and re-emitting the signal.
It's a solution that costs around €1000 on average, plus the installer's fee.
This remains a public solution, as a professional solution obviously costs much more.
The other solution is to move...

It is indeed an amount I would be willing to invest just to use my laptop - my wife, myself, and our visiting guests - from home...
What is this solution? Which company can I contact?

Do you have any names or websites of resellers that offer this type of installation?
otherwise, there's Google... by typing GSM signal amplifier (watch out for band differences in the United States and others)
