How to achieve a transparent background in InDesign & export JPEG

Hello, I was asked to create white text on a transparent background in InDesign and then export it as a JPEG. How can I achieve a transparent background? Thank you!!!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 47.0.2526.111

    Hi, try to delete all other layers except your text, then "export" "PNG"
    the PNG format handles transparent backgrounds but I'm not sure about JPEG, so try PNG.
