Hello,
My GPS, which is not recent (about 10/12 years old), MIO C320, has never been updated. A few years after I bought it, I tried and MIO told me that I had to wait because they were modifying it. Since then I haven't done anything, but it's really inconvenient; sometimes I'm on a highway and for it, I'm in the fields, so it's not easy.
Given its age, can someone tell me if I can rejuvenate it? If so, how?
I sincerely thank the internet user who reads this message and gives me a response, negative or positive.
Have a nice day.

Hello,
I have the same GPS (in version b) as you. I turned to IGO 8, which works very well since Mio stopped updating this product. (You should still be able to buy an SD card with this system)
Purchased to replace a product that no longer works, okay, but this product is compatible: it's a Windows CE 5 system, and we can install any compatible software on it.
To start, I connected my device to a computer, deleted all the files in the miomap/miomap directory, then copied all the IGO8 files into that same directory, and renamed the executable igo8 to miomap (this allows you to click on the icon in the menu and start the right software)
In the sys.txt file, I added the lines
[device]
type="asus_R700"
[folders]
"app="Storage Card/iGO8"'
[other]
demo_enabled=0
This allows you to put the maps on the SD card because the 1GB is not enough for all the ever-growing road maps.
The definition of the GPS may come into play: there is a Data.Zip file that generally takes the definition of our screen 320 x 240 (I didn't have to touch this file).

After writing all this fuss, I opened the old files I had and just saw an igo.db in the files....
Basically, MIOMAP is nothing more than an IGO with a different design... You just need to download IGO maps (by purchasing them, of course) and replace the FBL files (contained in maps) of your GPS with those you bought, and everything should work... You can also update the other folders scheme, poi,... -
Hello, for info a modern GPS costs €70, in addition to being more advanced, the maps are updated for life… no reason to bother with an antiquity in my opinion.
