Good evening,
I recently acquired a 5.1 audio kit. Knowing nothing about this field, I thought I could connect the 3 jacks to my TV. In the end, bam! impossible.
So I was wondering if it’s possible to connect the 3 jacks to an external sound card that would be connected to the TV?
Or is there another alternative that would allow me to enjoy all the speakers, even if just in stereo?

Hello,
With an external USB sound card, it is entirely possible,

This sound card has a digital optical input to enjoy Dolby Digital and/or DTS depending on the audio format of the source. You connect it to the USB port of your TV and plug in the 5.1 kit via jack.

Hello.
Mission impossible to connect directly to the TV
Moreover, 5.1 requires 5 wires.
2 for front left and right, 2 for rear left and right, and 1 for the subwoofer
However, connecting the TV to a compatible amplifier poses no problem.
On the other hand, broadcasts in 5.1 quality are very rare. Only valid for movies.

Good luck. Best regards.
