Hello,

I have an Asus K751L laptop (Windows 10) and I accidentally uninstalled the Asus Splendid Video Technology software.

I tried to download it but I couldn't find any version for Windows 10.

Is there a way to reinstall it? I've noticed that since the uninstallation, the colors on my screen have slightly changed.

Thank you in advance for your responses :)

Hello

What version were you on?
Get the most recent one from your previous version provider
If you can't find drivers for Windows 10, that's normal, but the old drivers for Windows 8 or 8.1 are compatible.
Good luck

Avoid installing those so-called free software that supposedly boosts or repairs your PC; they have no major utility. The best tools in Windows are called Dos.... & Powershell..

Thank you for your response.

So I downloaded Asus Splendid Video Technology for Windows 8.1. But towards the end of the installation, I get an error window that opens with this message:

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run..."

So I'm missing some software to install it, if I understand correctly?

Good evening

You are indeed missing a program to run this application.
Have you uninstalled it via the control panel under programs and features?
Check in the task manager startup tab to disable it if necessary, and under the details tab to see if there is an Asus function that prevents the installation; consider ending that Asus task by right-clicking and selecting end task.
Also, check for a restore to a previous date.
Good luck!

Sure, I did uninstall some Asus software that seemed unnecessary after doing some research.

I'm sorry, but I didn't quite understand the steps you recommended for the task manager. Could you please explain it to me again? :)

Re Good evening

In Task Manager under the Startup tab, check if there are any unnecessary Asus functions that are enabled, and under the Details tab, stop all services related to Asus.

Good luck!

Good evening again. After checking with the task manager, there are no Asus functions activated at startup.

There are not even any Asus options present in the list.
