Hello,

I bought a new SAMSUNG TV that does not have RCA inputs (yellow, white, red). It only has 2 HDMI, 1 USB, 1 optical, and one SCART. Therefore, I cannot connect my WII game console purchased in 2009.
I bought an RCA/HDMI converter, but it doesn't work!! NOTHING AT ALL!!

Is there a solution or do I have to give up playing on the WII???

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 42.0

Thank you for the quick response. I'm going to buy the said socket and I'll keep you updated.

You're welcome, and you can also find some without a switch, but it must say "IN" on it.

Hello Andy,
I just picked up the adapter you recommended and have installed it.
After checking the connections, the selected source (SCART socket)
the position of the switch on 'in', that the console was indeed on and that a CD was inserted, NOTHING AT ALL: no signal, check...........
Anyway, it doesn't work!!! I think it's dead and there must be a signal incompatibility between the WII and the TV.
Thanks anyway for trying to help me.

It must be your Wii that's acting up; a video signal is a video signal...;-)
Have you tried your Wii elsewhere?

I just installed the console on a small SAMSUNG TV with RCA connections. It works normally on the AV source. I also tried the SCART adapter and that works too!! You called it weird??? After browsing a few blogs, it seems I'm not the only one having this issue with the latest SAMSUNG TVs!

Those bastards of manufacturers do what they want, you have to say that the SCART is no longer mandatory, so it's very possible that this SCART is on the chassis of your TV but not wired. I found you another solution:
