    I just found out how to do a complete "reset" on the tablet: you need to press the volume up button and the power button and hold them until you get a black and blue menu. Choose factory default and select yes for data loss. If your Google account for Google Play is properly synced, you should get your apps back, but you will still lose some data. However, your tablet will work.
