Hello,

I've read numerous posts but I still don't understand why it's not working.
I have a roundcube account and a gmail account. I would like to automatically forward emails from roundcube to gmail.

So, I went to gmail
=> add a POP3 email account
=> I entered the roundcube address that I have
=> next step
=> the username shows by default, I change nothing
=> I type in the password for my email box
=> it defaults to: POP server: the roundcube address with the @ transformed into a dot: mail.nomdemonasso.org, PORT 110
=> I don't check anything
I confirm.

AND HERE'S THE PROBLEM.

It displays: The server denied POP3 access for the username and password provided.
The server returned the error: "[AUTH] Authentication failed."

I don't understand and I'm struggling. Can you help me?
Thanks!

Configuration: Windows XP / Chrome 46.0.2490.86

    Hello,
    Have you tried to log in directly to your Roundcube account to verify the validity of the username and password?

      Yes, yes. I have checked the passwords, etc. So the intervention of a technician is necessary. Frankly, this is really inconvenient for me.

      Another question: how to set up an automatic email in Roundcube, like: please send your email to this address: ***@*** as soon as someone tries to send me an email? Like an out-of-office message.

      Thanks again.

        Re,
        But I did not tell you that you need to call a technician!!
        The procedure to follow is detailed in the link I provided.

        Regarding the automatic response, I will look for a solution for you.

        Best regards

    Re-hello,

    It should be noted that RoundCube is a webmail client compatible with IMAP.

    It should also be known that the typical IMAP client does not have a POP3 server for receiving mail or an SMTP server for sending.

    It therefore requires a web server (Apache), PHP, and a SQL server (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite) for the database where the email information will be stored.

    Technical work is necessary; if you really want to do it, I advise you to follow this detailed procedure:

    Good work.
