Hello, my two telephone handsets are constantly displaying "searching," and the batteries are charged. I pressed the search stop button on the base with no effect. What should I do, please? Thank you!

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 40.0

Hello

It's a bit vague..
What exactly are we talking about?
Cheers

It concerns 2 Philips CD440 units that continuously display "searching."

Try unplugging the base for 10 to 15 seconds.

I unplugged the base and removed the batteries for several minutes, but I still have the same blinking "search."

Hello
Try to manually re-subscribe your two handsets to the base
See the guide on page 24 of the attached PDF in the paragraph:
5.7.5 Manual selection of the base
The guide ==> https://download.p4c.philips.com/files/c/cd4401s_22/cd4401s_22_dfu_fra.pdf
Very hard to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

It's not working. Maybe we need to unsubscribe from the positions first, but I'm afraid of making an irreversible move! !

Apart from the "Search" message, which the notice does not describe
Could you tell us what symbol appears on the screen
If one or more of these symbols are present, please tell us which ones and if they are blinking or not.

There is only the word "search", nothing else.

Uh.... not the battery symbol (on the left) or the antenna symbol (on the right)?
If there is no antenna symbol, it means that the handsets are indeed not (or no longer) subscribed to the base and therefore need to be re-subscribed...

Before attempting a new subscription... please remove the batteries from each handset for about ten seconds and place them back (be careful with the orientation)
