Dora digital camera driver

I had the same problem as you. No solution on the forums. BUT I SUCCEEDED!!! It works and on Vista.
The driver that comes with the device does not work with Vista, so you need to remove everything.
SO:
uninstall the program "mydsc2".
Check in "device manager"; normally this device should not appear anymore (when it's installed with the driver that doesn't work, it appears as "image device") and make sure it shows up as a USB digital camera with a ? which means that the computer doesn't recognize it. Otherwise, go to "properties" and uninstall the device.
So we have removed the driver and uninstalled the device.
Now, restart the computer. Plug in the device (well, just like the first time you did it..)
Vista tells you that it has found a new device and offers to search for a driver. Say yes.
After a while, Windows tells you that it failed, it found nothing, and offers a link to the manufacturer's website.
Click on it, download the driver which oh! miracle contains the application for Vista and launch it. Windows takes care of everything and proudly announces that everything went well.
Now, open once again (you've done it 42,000 times) the MyDSC2 window and...... IT WORKS.
Your child's production!!!!
In summary: ugly, blurry photos, without flash, but they're hers.

I bought a Dora Oregon camera but can't install it. It came with a photo installation CD but nothing to install the camera.
There is a USB cable provided but that's it. In short, please tell me what to do.

then by detecting hardware and modifying the driver (I admit I don't really know how, I've just been fiddling around). But the path is not simple for a small device like this. This little software is not at all suited for children aged 5 and up, even more complicated than an adult's digital camera when it comes to downloading photos via the computer... If I had to do it again, I would almost choose a basic little digital camera without the DORA brand. Less colorful, but easier to use on the computer afterwards.

Good evening, I have the same problem as everyone on this forum. My daughter would like to see what she has taken photos of, but I have a big issue, I can't retrieve them on my computer. I have Windows Vista and my PC recognizes new hardware but I can't install it even with the provided CD-ROM (I wonder if it really serves any purpose). When you double-click on my dsc2 (file) you need to check if my dsc2 and pccam are properly installed, otherwise "uninstall" (for the 4898th time) and take directly the addresses I mentioned earlier, and logically it will work out, and as for me, I am in Val de Marne. If you have any other issues, don't hesitate.

Thank you to Petito and Kika, it's 2009 and I bought this camera for my little one. Since I'm on Windows 7, I'm using the Vista drivers and it works, thanks to you.

It's December 25, 2009… and I’m desperate… I've been trying for over 2 hours to perform the same actions as you, in vain… My little girl got her first camera last night, she took some photos today and I can't transfer them to our PC. We are on Vista; first, I installed the driver that came with the camera, but nothing worked, so I followed your advice and uninstalled everything.
Then I wanted to find the correct link (that you had previously provided above), but it is apparently no longer valid; I ended up on a Chinese page, which, when translated, tells me that the address is no longer valid.

I found a driver on the SQ.com website, a driver for the SQ905C, but it installs correctly (in English), I have my My DSC2 folder with the 2 files, but once again... nothing, no photos!!!

Well, it's really simple. For me, everything works in 5 minutes max.
1. Go to the SQ website and download the driver (3 meg)
2. Disconnect the device
3. Install the driver
4. Connect the device. It is recognized as DualCamera
5. Use MyDSC2 to view and extract the photos
6. This device does not work like USB flash drives 'Mass Storage Device', so you need to GO THROUGH THE INSTALLED PROGRAM to see the photos / copy them.
7. That's it.

The French site of Oregon Scientific is really bad, but the Belgian site is great and still lists the Dora device!

This driver seems to be a bit more recent than that of the chip manufacturer mentioned above (www.sq.com.tw) but since I haven't tested it yet, I can't say if it's in French. However, it is certified compatible with Windows XP and Vista. But for Windows Seven, I have some doubts...
