Hello! I need help please, I subscribed to the trial period of usenet.nl, but the problem is that I would like to cancel it. When I try to cancel, I see this:

Hello ;) even if your request is old, others will surely have your problem.
I had it today and I cancelled today as well.
You need to either:
- call customer service in England (replace the +44 in the number with 00 44), you need to tell the person (in English obviously) to speak loudly and slowly if you have trouble with English
- send a form available on the site (I personally sent 5 lol)
- send a letter (but let’s be honest, that takes time and generally we just want to use the free period)
Personally, I called and within 2 minutes after the call I received an email in my spam stating that it was cancelled
of course I checked on the site and it is indeed the case ;) I hope I helped you.

Hello, I have the same problem with the so-called free period; I couldn't download anything with Newsleecher, and on top of that, they impose their grabber!! Fortunately, I paid through PayPal and was able to cancel the payment for the upcoming subscription, definitely to be avoided!!
Indeed, it's not easy to find how to cancel in PayPal, so you have to go to "my account settings" (gear icon), then "payments", next "manage pre-approved payments", a list will appear with the name Usenet, select it, and once it's open, there should be an option "cancel" in the text, there you go :-)

Good evening, no problem at all, I had in the meantime canceled the subscription on their site using their messaging/online tool, I received emails from them acknowledging the cancellation and they are offering me a big discount if I resubscribe,
otherwise no issue with the PayPal cancellation, once canceled it is final.

Hello,
You just need to call 0044 20 3670 5870 (I just did it right now on 14/08/2017 around 3 PM). But it's in English or German.
Anyway, here’s what I did:
1.
On the bottom left side, there’s a section called "online assistance", that’s the famous form to fill out (for those who want to go through the form). But you will quickly understand that it takes time; in fact, an email is sent right after the form is validated. I still did it anyway.
2. Call 0044 20 3670 5870, it's in English or German.
Here you have to wait a maximum of 15 minutes, I believe, so don't bother too much. You simply say:
"Hello I just want to terminate my contract now". Without yelling at the person of course.
Then they will ask you to confirm (tell them) your email address with which you registered.
Finally, they will ask if you want to receive the confirmation by email; you have to say "yes I want to receive the confirmation by email", for example.
Make sure to listen carefully, they might ask other questions. Don't panic, just reply "sorry I don't understand well, but I just want to terminate my contract and have a confirmation by email".
Oh yes, one last point, you should also listen carefully when you dial the number. As with any standard, there are choices to enter and you'll also have to enter your CustID (the ID displayed in your profile when you’re logged in, it's just numbers, so it's not the login).
If I'm not mistaken, it's option 1) at the beginning as it asks if you are already a Usenet customer. If you press 2, it means you are not yet a customer.
The rest is easy, and I don't remember anymore.
PS: honestly, I didn't understand anything with their story about maximum download speed and all that... no bad publicity, but it's to be avoided unless you have complete mastery.
Ciao, the webber.

Good evening,
I just made the mistake of registering on usenet.nl, I entered my details but I haven't downloaded anything. I have sent several forms to support to cancel, in French and in English.
Will I be properly canceled from this site? Or do I need to do something else? And will I be charged any amount?
Best regards,

You just need to find someone who speaks a bit of English to do it for you, otherwise it is stated in the FAQ that you can cancel via the support form, so a simple message translated by Google Translate like "I want to cancel my subscription" should be enough.
At worst, you can go to your bank and block the payment.

Good evening,
The most effective and radical solution: CHANGE your bank card....
Then in the future, stop signing up for anything with your debit/credit card!!!!!!!!
See you!

Good evening mpmp93, I thought about this solution but the problem is that I already changed my credit card in April and I struggled to get it back because I had issues with my bank due to an error on their part. But anyway, if I don't find a solution before the end of the trial period, I think I'll change my card. You're right, I was foolish and quite naive, I know what to expect in the future!! Thank you.
Hello,
Here’s what you can read in the FAQ:
This is therefore in total contradiction with the cancellation page:
Here’s what you can read in the FAQ:

Cancellation is possible:
- Via support form
Unfortunately, we cannot process cancellations over the phone.
You can cancel at any time during your trial period and otherwise at each subscription end date.
This is therefore in total contradiction with the cancellation page:

Hello,
Like many of you, I fell into the trap. I was curious to discover this site, I tried the trial period but in the end, I wasn't interested and on the same day, I planned to unsubscribe. Bad surprise? I don't see how to do it on the site. So I looked in this forum and thank god, I canceled via Paypal (thank you by the way), but I'm still not reassured... Because you never know! I'm addressing those who have used Paypal, since your cancellation, have you received any emails? letters? threats or anything else?

Hello and thank you for responding, but as you can see, I hadn't finished my explanations and then lost connection. But basically, I've just signed up 3 days ago and I can't download movies, so I want to unsubscribe and cancel the contract. I've read all the messages but I can't find the unsubscribe letter online.
Best regards

Hello, I would like to cancel my Usenet subscription, so I will fill out the form and I would like to know where to find the custom number, please?
Yes, this tutorial https://www.meilleurnewsgroup.com/usenetserver-test/ can help you see more clearly.
I have the same problem as you, and it's really a headache to prevent the contract from renewing automatically. I typed "how to cancel your subscription at Usenet.nl" on Google. It led me to a page on the site that says to send a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt (the contact details are provided on the page). I also recommend sending them a message in the "Contact Us" section. This will provide additional proof of your wish not to renew your subscription. I did it this way, and I haven't heard back from them, and they haven't charged me the monthly fees.
Keep me updated on the progress of your cancellation.

Hello
My 18-year-old son was also a victim of this scam. The site does not provide him with a customer number, and due to his young age, he renewed his request 5 times with 5 different emails. He was charged twice by PayPal for €110. He disputed it with PayPal, who refunded him one. This site deliberately does not give you a customer number to prevent you from canceling, but the worst part is that you don't even have access to the products! Six months later, I receive a large letter from Holland from a debt collection company, all in English, demanding over €500 with late fees. Exchanges of emails and registered letters with Usenet in San Marino.
I received a final email, half in English and half in Dutch. I thought it was pointless to bother writing to them in English since they make no effort to write to you.
I wrote them a long letter in French in which I threatened them with international court action, filing a complaint with fraud prevention authorities, and more.
Since then, for 2 years, no news...
I advise you, if you cannot find your customer number, to write in French to San Marino by registered mail, requesting the cancellation of your account, stating your name, address, and email, and specifying that you have never found your account number. Good luck!

I see that many of us believed in them. The best thing is to call them, here is the information I have, I'll do it starting tomorrow.
