Hello everyone!
I recently acquired an "Alcatel One Touch Pop S3" and wanted to put some music on it, so I immediately took an old SD card I had in my previous phone (this way, I could retrieve all my old data).

But when I inserted my micro SD card into the phone, it started heating up in the micro SD card slot. However, it still managed to read the data.

My laptop can also read the data on my micro SD card, but the SD card does not heat up on my computer.

I wanted to know if this is serious, if there is a risk for the phone, where the problem comes from, and most importantly: how to resolve it?

Thank you in advance for your responses ^^

slt yes it's normal for it to heat up, there's current passing through even USB keys or hard drives marked resolved. Look at this, it's for hard drives https://www.google.fr/search?q=refroidissement+disque+dur&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAWoVChMIqPqymsPhxgIVi10UCh2scgI6&biw=1600&bih=765

Yes, but on my old laptop it didn't overheat, now it's really burning, and even without the SD card, the reader is getting hot...

Well yes, it's normal, they're components, there is current flowing so it heats up. If your laptop is still under warranty, bring it in, you never know. As for me, I can't know because my card slips to the side in the plastic slot, or you can inquire at a shop that repairs laptops.

Well yes, it's obvious that if I put you in a sauna, your body will be warmer. The devices adapt to the ambient temperature + the current that circulates, even a USB stick gets hot when connected to a TV.
