SD card stuck in card reader

Hello, today I noticed that when I insert an SD card into the card reader, it gets stuck inside, whereas if I insert the cover, which has a similar shape to the card, it goes in and out... well, I'm still wondering today why that happens. I await your responses. Thank you.

    What do you mean by "the cache"? Are you referring to an SD card or a microSD card?

      @Anonymous userNormally, to remove the cache you have to "pull" it, it seems to me, and to take out an SD card you have to "push it inward" so that it is ejected, right?
