Hello,
I just bought a used S6 Edge, and I would like to know how to permanently change the ownership of the phone, knowing that it was purchased from Free and is unlocked. I also have the Free invoice that goes with it. The previous owner told me to call Samsung, which I did, but they just registered the product to my account.
Thank you, best regards.

Hello. I believe that the IMEI cannot be changed, waiting for other opinions. Regards

Hello

First, we need to know and understand what you mean by this phrase?

And I would like to know how to permanently change the owner of the phone.

And although legally the phone belongs to me, and no longer belongs to the previous owner, I am not looking to change the IMEI itself, but the person to whom the IMEI belongs, so that one day I do not end up with a blocked phone as I have already read in some cases.
Thank you :)

hi
well apart from the seller's bad faith claiming it's stolen... you have nothing to worry about.... now if you have an invoice + a document from the seller stating that you are the new owner, you also have nothing to worry about.. if this isn't done, register your phone... here..

There is no procedure for an owner regarding the IMEI.

The IMEI belongs to the phone; if you are the holder of the phone (original invoice + invoice of the second-hand purchase transaction with your details on it), you should have no issues. If necessary, you just need to present both documents to your operator to assert your rights as the owner of the device.

Best regards.

P.S.: If you consider your issue resolved, please remember to report it as such using the button provided for this purpose on the initial message of the discussion.
