How to increase the space between the border and the text inside a box?

Hello,
I know how to frame a text (borders and backgrounds, borders/text) but I find that the distance between the frame and the framed text is very narrow. How can I widen it (it works by inserting a space before the text, but not after...) ?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Mozilla 11.0

Hello,

if you apply a border to a paragraph, you can click on the "Options" button in the "Border and Shading" dialog box and specify the spacing in points (10 pts is approximately 2.5 mm) between the frame and the text.

If it is a word or group of words within a paragraph, these options are not available.
But you are talking about "a space before the text" that works, do you mean on the left or above?

When I want to frame a text (a title, for example) and I find the border of the frame too close to the text (on the left and right), I manage, although I don't know the right command, to solve the issue on the left side by inserting a space to the left of the text. But to move the text away from the border on the right, when I type a space to the right of the word, the space is placed outside the frame, and thus the frame remains stuck to the right of the text... In short, the technique that works to the left of the word doesn’t work on its right... There must be an option that allows adjusting the spacing of the frame in relation to the text, but I haven't found it... and yet I'm sure it's right in front of me!

If it is a title, then it is a complete paragraph.
In this case, you can try the technique I mentioned in my previous message: "Options" button in the border dialog box but choosing to apply the border to the paragraph and not to the text. You indicate, for example, 5 pts on all 4 sides.

Otherwise, for the space on the right, you can type a non-breaking space (CTRL SHIFT Space), but that's a workaround. If you frame the entire paragraph, you won't need it.
