Hello,
To make it short, following an update of the drivers for my graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200), several programs show me this message: "LoadLibrary failed with Error 87: Parameter Incorrect."
For the long version, I bought a game during the Steam sale that works perfectly, except that certain elements simply didn’t display.
I checked my drivers, assuming my issue indeed came from my graphics card, then I realized that its driver dates back to 2014 and that a new one was released in January 2015. (I later found out that the problem stemmed from that)
I installed the driver from the AMD Catalyst Software, and that’s when this message appeared.
From there, I tried to gather information online, and I discovered that it was a registry issue.
However, no matter which solutions I try, either they don’t work, or the links are outdated.
For example, I've heard about the notorious atig6pxx.dll registry (located in C:\Windows\System32) but I don’t have it at all, so I can't resolve this type of issue.
To be honest, I'm not very skilled in IT, but I always try to manage things on my own, but anything related to registry tweaking is really beyond my capabilities, and I'm especially afraid of doing something wrong.
So here it is, I'm really struggling to solve this problem; maybe the answer is simple, but I just can’t get it to work.
If someone could lend me a hand, I would be very grateful.
Thank you in advance
My configuration:
- System: Windows 7 Full Configuration (32 bit)
- Processor: AMD Turion(tm) II P540 Dual-Core Processor 2.40GHz
- Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series
Apart from that, I believe I have updated everything, both Windows Update and my drivers.
Also, I haven’t found any viruses or anything of the sort (via RogueKiller, MalwareBytes, or Adwcleaner).

I finally solved the problem.
Apparently, there was a graphics driver error and I ended up with a downgrade of OpenGL.
I went from version 2.1 to version 1.1 following the update.
It's important to note that I couldn't perform a "rollback" because Windows Restore subsequently lost its restore points.
So I had no way to go back.
After various tests, even messing around in the registry, I ended up uninstalling my graphics card (along with its drivers) to set everything up the way I wanted. (new update, graphics add-ons, and so on)
I went from 1.1 to 3.3, and my computer handles it all perfectly.
And it solved my problem, I have absolutely no more errors!
Thank you for your help and support, it's truly a pleasure to see so many people dedicating themselves to help those in need; such selflessness is simply heartwarming.
Thanks again, and have a good evening.
