CIEL GC: issue printing customer invoices

Hello,
I just reinstalled CIEL GC on another machine because the original one is going for repair.
After requesting the reactivation key from CIEL, I realize that printing customer invoices is impossible, as well as the preview or sending via email.
On the supplier invoices side, article list, it's fine.
After inquiring with CIEL, the known response: "get a support contract…"
I would like to point out that this is the second time I am requesting a reactivation, after the original key.
I checked, my printer is recognized (it works with other documents) but my customer invoice template was not restored when the data was transferred to the new machine (???).
Does anyone have a small idea, please???

The invoice display takes up 3/4 of the page because in your Windows display settings, you are at 125% font size.
Set it to 100% (Control Panel, Display) and THIS issue will be resolved. However, expect to encounter many others :)

I combined your respective ideas and came up with a result.
My customer invoice template did not appear in the list on the new workstation.
I retrieved it from my network backup, placed the file in the desired location and did:
Folder > Options > Configurable Reports
In the "List of Reports" window, I chose "Client Parts Drawing"
I opened the list of reports and from the "Tools" button, I selected "Update the list of reports"
I tried to print and ... it works!!!

To respond to help, I don't agree with you because starting from version 8.1, the installation folder is only on C, and apart from a few files that slip into System32, there is absolutely nothing in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ciel\Applications\Ciel Gestion Commerciale\complément utilisateurs\Etats. I just checked again and I am sure of what I am stating.

Yes, people cry with the help of having bought a product made by professionals and very, very easy to use for beginners; they really thought of everything. I truly admire the engineers who have so many ideas... And I find it very surprising that many, many, many people don't necessarily manage with this software which, I repeat, was created by professionals!

To respond to Thierry, I have 3 companies and therefore 3 software + licenses purchased and paid for. As for Ciel support, they don't hold back and it's normal for some to complain even if they bought their software from a reseller. To reach Ciel, there is a waiting line that sometimes lasts over 25 minutes, and that was my case, and considering the amount of 190 Euros for the management at that time, that's a high price to pay for information.
Absolutely agree, the money invested is only worthwhile if it is profitable.
The advantage with the software I represent (Apisoft, Méca, 2S for the service, and Bat) is that you have a professional in front of you and not a call center.
For our part, in Toulouse, we do not charge for support contracts, and when one of our clients asks us a small question, since we are not taxis..... we respond graciously and with a smile, please.....

I have been using Ciel for over ten years and I have dug deep and understood quite a bit.
So, to print, you first need to select the correct printer, which may not necessarily be recognized by Ciel. In that case, you have to open management and click once on any line to highlight it, then go to "folder" then "document generator". In the window that opens, click the small + on the left of the document folder. Then there should be at least one line called "Model A4", and you just need to highlight it by clicking once on it. After that, on the right, there is the "Edit" tab, click on it, and in the window that opens, you'll find a printer tab where you need to select the right printer because by default it shows "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer". Click OK and that’s it.

By the way, I forgot to mention that you need to start by doing the restoration first; otherwise, there will be no preview because it doesn't recognize the header. Otherwise, you need to check in folders>settings. However, if you have a custom header, you need to check it as a favorite in the "document generator" window; the checkbox is just below all the tabs.

In version 5.4 and above:
Custom document templates are not stored in the same location as the data, so if you have made a backup restoration from the backup folder menu, you need to retrieve them.
Otherwise, if when you open your backup file you see your templates or the user supplement folder, you need to extract and copy them to the folder

I think I have solved one of my many problems with C GC thanks to your topic, but to bounce back on the assistance, here’s what happened to me recently:

We used to use CIEL DEVIS-FACTURES a few years ago to manage the sale of articles.
When our company grew, we switched to CIEL GESTION-COMMERCIALE.
We then asked CIEL for a way to transfer our client and article lists from CIEL-DF to CIEL GC, and here is the response:
" - Hello, you want to transfer your client lists, no problem, you are under assistance for CIEL GC but it has just ended a month ago for CIEL-DF, Uh,... I can’t do anything for you, you need to take the assistance for CIEL-DF.
- Well yes, but I just bought CIEL GC because I am abandoning CIEL-DF which turns out to be more than limited for my use.
- Oh no, no sir, you need the assistance for CIEL-DF.
- But I’m telling you that I no longer use CIEL-DF...
- Get the assistance for CIEL-DF.
- I can't do anything for you, goodbye sir.
NICE "service" at CIEL!!! Anyway, we are disgusted by this incompetence.
Now, we are looking at a LINUX solution, probably with Mandriva, even if we have to pay for assistance, at least we can have free software!

You also have the option of turning to a market software for which it would be advisable to partner with a reseller (such as APISOFT or EBP).
Partnering with a reseller will normally allow you to gain clearer insights and avoid this kind of common disappointment with this publisher. That said, it may be part of their sales conditions for support contracts.
Beyond the product you are using, please note that it is increasingly a matter of service that tends to take precedence.

When I create a report via Options > Parameterizable Reports, I've set the default file correctly, but when I try to use it for printing or previewing, no matter which report I select, the software only shows me the A4 format report.
I can't figure out if there's something to deselect in order to display the correct selected report.
Does anyone have any idea?

I also have Ciel Commercial Management 16.1. My problem is that when I print my invoice, it doesn't come out in A4 format, even though A4 format is selected on the screen and in the settings.
