Good evening,
This morning I updated the BIOS of my MSI GE60 2PL Apache (laptop). Everything went well until I tried to turn my PC back on after this update. At that moment, I couldn't get out of the BIOS menu and start Windows (same for a USB or CD boot).
I have the option (with F10 at startup) to open the boot option menu, which only allows me to boot from a USB drive if it is connected, but if I do that, I find myself in the BIOS once again.
My USB drive and hard drive are recognized by the PC, but the latter is not an option for booting (F10).
My default boot priority order is as follows:
1 - USB 2.0
2 - USB CD
3 - USB HDD
4 - Hard Disk
5 - CD/DVD.
I have attempted:
- To redo the BIOS update.
- To do a clear CMOS (remove the battery and put it back after 20 minutes).
- To boot with a bootable USB drive (valid on other computers).
Thank you in advance if you have any leads or actions that could resolve my issue.
Note: Originally, this BIOS update was intended to resolve an error message "missing CD/DVD drivers" during the installation process of Windows 7 from a USB drive.

Hello,
Try this:
1. Disconnect the hard drive
2. Turn on the machine (it should boot directly to BIOS)
3. Turn off the computer
4. Reconnect the hard drive
5. Turn on the computer

It's as if my PC knew the drive was there but had no way of extracting the information... Is there something like a driver or something like that at the BIOS level?
In the BIOS, choose to load the default values and restart.
