Good evening,
I just acquired my motorhome which comes from Toulouse. The seller turned on the television for a test and it was working fine.
I am back home in Aisne, I set the satellite dish to face due south with a 33° angle, set to 850 for Astra 1 with automatic tuning, and no channels are visible. Is it due to the change of region, and what is the trick?
Thank you to anyone who could give me the solution.

Receiving a portable TV is not easy, especially when you start off on the wrong foot; "full south" necessarily means 180°, and in France, TV satellites like Astra (for Canalsat TNTsat) or Hot-Bird (Bis TV) or Eutelsat 5WA (for Fransat) are not in this reference azimuth (= noon at the Sun)
In addition, besides the azimuth angle here close to 160° and elevation about 31°, you must also manage the polarization angle (tilt) of 5° of the LNB if the manual equipment (like the flat antenna Selfsat Camp58) or motorized assisted manual or fully automatic equipment, allows it....
A DVB-S2 satellite finder like "SF-650" or Sathero or Satlink WS can be helpful for alignment.... There are also charts for satellite dish orientation available on Google, for example:
