Hello,

When I turn on my satellite dish, it raises but does not rotate, it starts to beep and remains immobile.
I don't know what to do.
If anyone can help me.
Thanks in advance.

Configuration: Android / Chrome 68.0.3440.91

Sorry

I think it's a broken belt or a broken cog... or the motor of the mechanism... is the rotational movement free... by hand?? Or rather very hard..?

The mechanism seems to be good, I would rather lean towards a pointer problem, right? It's the one that gives instructions to the antenna.
Am I wrong?

Basically yes, it makes several successive scans in rotation and with each pass, it goes down a little... until it finds the signal from the satellite you requested (Astra for example) ==> it only stops searching at that moment to refine its aiming for maximum signal level and quality... that's the principle...

All of this is governed by the action of the motors, from your receiver or a peripheral box dedicated to this function often called a "Positioner" like this https://www.shopevasion.fr/positionneur-antenne-antarion-c102x2607567

-- However... Very often the optimum signal is not for the entirety of the satellite, but rather targeted on one of its transponders... so you would first need to know which transponder...? then, from one year to the next, there may have been changes... So it is essential to check the frequencies on https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html or on https://en.kingofsat.net/sat-astra1l.php

here is the transponder ==> 12728.50 V 120 Astra 1L DVB-S2 8PSK 22000 2/3 which provides FR3 regional

and others may have disappeared...

You must still check that the power supply voltages are good, first... that the LNB and the COAX are properly connected and there are no shorts... and that the receiver is receiving them correctly.
same for the wiring of the positioner...
Check the accuracy of the transponder frequencies and the other values Vertical Horizontal 8 PSK and 22000 which may change to 27500 for example...
if some do not exist, it's not a big deal... as long as the positioner does not use that one for its search.
then, it is a mechanical or electromechanical failure.
