Text encoding Solved

Question

Hello,

I have a little problem with Microsoft Office Word Professional Plus 2013.

For a week now, when I open a Word document, there is a duplicate of that same document that opens by itself. Besides this annoying duplicate, there is also a message that appears when opening documents:
" File Conversion - ~ $ nereader6.sprint.dot
text encoding: Win, MS, DOS, Other encoding "

Could you help me get rid of these duplicate documents in Word and the above-mentioned message?

I have deleted ~$nereader6.sprint.dot and FineReader6.

When opening the documents in Word, I no longer have the previous message "File Conversion - ~$nereader6.sprint.dot
Text encoding: Win, MS, DOS, Other encoding".

But I still have the duplicate "$~" when opening a document in Word.
Let me explain:
The opened document immediately creates a duplicate, and when the document is closed, the duplicate disappears...

Can you help me get rid of this duplicate ~$ please?

Hello,

there seems to be an add-in that has been installed and is causing chaos.
First, try starting Word in safe mode: to do this, hold down the CTRL key and open Word. From Word, open your document.
If it works better, you'll need to go to File, Options, Add-ins and try to determine which one you need to remove or disable.
According to the name mentioned in your error message, it could be FineReader.

You can also check the (default hidden) folder
"C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\Startup" to see if the file ~$nereader6.sprint.dot exists.
If so, delete it.

Good evening digital beauty  You say: "But I still have the duplicate " ~$ " when opening a document in Word. "  But that's completely normal! It's not a duplicate. It's the normal operation of Word that creates a temporary file in the same folder when you open a document. The name of this temporary file is the same as the opened one, except that it starts with ~$. It will be deleted automatically when the document is closed, unless there is a crash or other problem.
