Hello, I have a Nikon Coolpix S3300 camera, and for some time now I've been getting the message "Problem in the optical unit" on the screen when I turn it off. And I can't transfer my photos to my computer anymore: it no longer recognizes the connection. Does anyone know what I can do about it? Thank you for your replies. Sylvie

sorry, there aren't many other options than to buy another one. These cameras cannot be repaired.
When the malfunction is repairable (for example, dust or sand inside), some people attempt to disassemble-clean-reassemble it with the help of a video taken from YouTube. It requires a lot of skill and some miniature tools.
