Hello everyone,
since I switched to Mac, I can't scan documents using my HP Photostat C4472 printer.
However, printing works without any issues!
But when I start Image Transfer, the scanner is not recognized.
I tried downloading the printer drivers, but apparently for Mac they are downloaded automatically.
I asked my friend Google, but I can't find anyone in my situation!

I hope someone can help me!!

Thank you very much
Have a great day everyone

Configuration: Mac OS X (10.10.2) / Safari 8.0.4

Hello,

Did you go to this page?
Did you select your Mac OS X 10.10?
And, did you download the correct drivers? all of them? Because if Yosemite does include printer drivers, it may not include those for scanners, knowing that you can scan from certain apps included with Mac OS X.

And, don't forget that you need to restart the Mac for the drivers to be recognized.

When it's urgent, it's already too late (Talleyrand)

Yes, I did all that but it takes me to this page:
http://support.hp.com/en-us/product/HP-Photosmart-C4400-All-in-One-Printer-series/3655558/model/3655567/document/c04530695

And it basically tells me that the drivers are installed and downloaded automatically.
Just to be sure, I looked for software updates: there aren’t any for my printer/scanner.
And also, just to be on the safe side, I "uninstalled and reinstalled" the printer
But still nothing!! It is not detected in the Image Transfer application!!

Anyway, thank you for suggesting a solution even if it might not be the right one :)

So, you need to download and install the drivers from the manufacturer's website, the link provided, the message may be incorrect.

PS: have you checked in the system preferences/printers if yours is listed? try adding it by clicking on the + sign, what happens?
