Unable to delete my messages

Hello, I'm writing to you because I can't find any answers regarding my problem.
For the past few days, I haven't been able to delete my emails in my inbox (formerly Hotmail, now Outlook) from my PC.
I was deleting them from my tablet, but since this morning, I can't delete them from the tablet either.
I can receive and read them, but I can't delete them; what should I do as they are piling up?

    What happens when you try to delete them?

    Do you get an error message? What does the message say?

      Well, exactly nothing is happening on either the tablet or the PC, no error messages, nothing, and the message doesn't go away...
